Come to an Open Evening to experience what Nescot can offer. Chat to staff and current students, to find out more about what studying at Nescot is like, and choose a course.
Read the course sheet text to make sure the course is right for you.
Click ‘Apply Online’. You will then be directed to our online application form
Once you have completed your application a ‘Thank you’ message will appear on screen, and an e-mail will be sent from Advice & Guidance.
Some courses require a reference from your school. You can download the reference form here, and email or post it to the college.
If you can’t find the e-mail in your inbox please check your junk mail folder.
You'll be sent an email inviting you to a group interview at Nescot.
Log into the portal, and let us know whether you'll be attending, or arrange a different interview slot.
You'll be in a group with other people studying your course. This is your chance to chat to the tutors and about everything you want to know about the course, from what your timetable might be like, to trips and visits you can expect.
You'll also be able to talk to staff about any additional needs you have.
You may be offered a place to study at Nescot. Congratulations! You need to decide whether the offer we've made is right for you.
The Advice & Guidance team will e-mail you asking you to log in to the applicant portal to accept your offer.
Many of our courses are in very high demand and other applicants are waiting to find out if they have a place. If you do not acknowledge your offer within three weeks we cannot guarantee your place on your chosen course.
You will receive a letter inviting you to a New Student Welcome & Induction Day taking place in June. The day will give you an opportunity to meet new friends, take part in activities, and get to know the college and the staff.
In July we will send you a date and time to come to college to sign onto your course and complete your enrolment. Enrolment begins on GCSE results day. The information we send in July will explain what to do if you know that you will be unable to attend your enrolment session.
If your grades are HIGHER than you were expecting, congratulations! In some cases we may be able to offer you a course at a higher level.
If things haven’t turned out as well as you had hoped and your grades are LOWER than expected please come along anyway and we will help you to explore the options open to you.
Early applications are advised. We are a successful college and many of our courses have more applicants than there are places. To secure a place, we ask you to return your completed application by the 15th January. Everyone who applies by this date is guaranteed an interview.
Applications after the January deadline will still be accepted, but we cannot guarantee an interview if your chosen course is full.
Even after all the places on a course have been accepted we may still be able to offer you a place on a waiting list. Every year some applicants are not able to take up their place on a course and their places become available in August. If you accept a place on a waiting list it is important that you have an alternative plan as well, because we cannot guarantee that everyone on the list will get a place.
If you have any questions please contact us.
