1) When shall I receive my tickets?

Guest tickets will be posted to the address on your booking form approximately one week before the Ceremony. Graduand tickets are collected from the Registration Desk at the Epsom Downs Racecourse on the day of the Ceremony.

2) I have changed my address

Please update your details on the booking form, or contact the Events Team.

3) I am unable to attend the Ceremony

Your certificate will be sent to you by post after the Ceremony. Please ensure we have your correct address.

4) I have completed online booking but now can no longer attend.

Please contact the Events Team. We are able to refund any returned tickets up to the week before the Ceremony.

5) I wish to change my booking

Please contact the Events Team.

6) I or my guests have a disability

Please inform us on the booking form about your requirements or contact the Events Team and we shall be pleased to assist. The Ceremony venue is wheelchair friendly. The floors are all on one level, and there are lifts between floors. There is a ramp up to the stage for the presentation. We can reserve parking spaces immediately outside the Entrance to the Grandstand. Individual Induction Loops and wheelchair hire are available by advance booking.

7) Is car parking available?

There is ample free parking available to the left and behind the Duchess's Stand.

8) I have not received an invitation but I believe I am eligible

Invitations will be sent out by mail end October/early November.  For queries after this date, please contact the Events Team.

9) What should I wear?

This is a very formal occasion with all graduates wearing academic dress, and the dress code is smart. You must wear a gown to be presented with your award on the stage, and you should book your gown in advance with Ede & Ravenscroft.

Buttoned shirts are helpful for securing the gown hood, and jackets allow the gown to sit well on the shoulders. Gowns tend to slip if worn over very silky fabric, and very low-cut tops allow no means of keeping the hood in place. Wear smart but comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet for some of the time, and you will be crossing the stage in front of an audience.

10) Will I be able to sit with my guests during the ceremony?

No, graduands sit with their cohorts in order of presentation for the stage. Early booking is recommended to ensure availability of guest seats.

11) Why can I not order more than two guest tickets?

The venue has a maximum capacity and we want to ensure that all graduands can bring at least two guests each. If space allows, more guest seats will be released on 1st February, please contact the Events Team to lodge your request for additional guests.
