Bursaries

Bursaries

Some Nescot students are eligible for a bursary of up to £500 via the college.

Depending on their circumstances, students who progress from a Level 3 to a Level 4 course in 2017/8, and students who are leaving care may be entitled to receive the money in instalments.

Bursaries are awarded depending on various criteria, and are subject to attendance and academic performance. They do not need to be repaid.

Nescot Bursary

To receive this, students must be studying full-time, and doing their first university-level course, such as an HNC, having progressed from a level 3 course at Nescot in 2016/17.

Students must have a household income of less than £25,000, and must meet the residency criteria for home fees.

Care Leaver Bursary

This bursary is available to students who have been in local authority care since the age of 16, and who are aged under 25 on September 1, 2017.

Students must be in their first year of a university-level course, and must meet the residency criteria for home fees.

For more information about the bursaries, please contact the Student Finance team by visiting them in room 13A in the LRC, calling 020 8394 3033 or 020 8394 3186, or emailing studentfinance@nescot.ac.uk
