Job Overview

The Sales Apprentice’s main role is to assist the sales team wherever necessary, learning the end to end sales process throughout the apprenticeship. This role is varied, and aims to train the apprentice sufficiently to progress to a Telesales role at the end of the apprenticeship.

Principal Interactions

(i)               Reporting to the Sales Director

(ii)              Interaction with external customers and clients

(iii)            Interaction with all Skyguard sales employees

Scope of work

  • Assisting with monthly sales reports for the Sales Director.
  • Calling customers with general account information, later progressing to some sales calls.
  • Weekly filing.
  • Shadowing the sales team.
  • General sales admin tasks.
  • Ad hoc help where needed.

Skills and Experience

Excellent communication skills.

  • Initiative, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Well organised.
  • Willing to learn.

Personal Characteristics

 Business Admin Apprenticeship: Administration Assistant in busy toy importers office


Duties will include:

  • Data in-putting
  • Purchase order processing
  • Liaising with suppliers (predominantly by email)
  • Assisting with product development and quality control
  • General office duties

A head for figures – maths GCSE or better – would be an advantage together with reasonable keyboard skills.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 17.00 hours with an hour for lunch.

Holiday entitlement: 26 days per annum commencing from month 4, limited to 2 weeks at any one time.

Salary:  £ 800 per month paid monthly in arrears.

Business Admin Apprenticeship - Administration Assistant

Ewell Village

An award-winning electrical contractor based in Ewell Village, Epsom, Surrey, are looking for an apprentice administration assistant due to growth, to join their team on a full time permanent contract.

If you are looking for a role with a fantastic team environment and good career prospects then they could be for you! There is scope for this role to evolve into office administrator.

To summarise this role, you would be responsible for assisting the contracts managers with their administration duties including setting up new projects, recording and monitoring compliance and project finance.

Internal management systems training will be provided.

The hours are 9am to 5pm              Salary £12,000 minimum, increases on performance

  • Document Control
  • Assisting managers to make the best use of their time by dealing with their administrative tasks.
  • Distribution of submittals and RFIs to the relevant consultants.
  • Daily interaction with managers
  • Diary management.
  • Undertake comprehensive supervision of daily operational activities, implementing quality assurance and health and safety policies.
  • Compiling O&M manuals, Health & Safety file.
  • Organizing external / internal meetings, attending them and taking minutes.
  • General financial management, processing accounts and operating procurement and receipt systems.
  • Compiling progress reports
  • Liaison with estimating department, customers and managers
  • Workwear and PPE control
  • Review and answer correspondence
  • Time sheet approval,   Plant movement

Key Skills:

  • Ability to work on own initiative under pressure and to specific deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills – on all levels.
  • Meticulously organized.
  • Excellent Excel/Word/MS IT skills
  • Experience in construction
