Adult Leisure Short Courses
Leisure Courses @ Nescot
These short courses are a great way of learning for fun and can help you take a personal interest to the next level. None of the courses have exams and most are just one evening a week.
It's been some time since we have been able to offer courses like these and our teaching staff are really enjoying leading them. They are all industry experts who enjoy sharing their knowledge with you - and they are all trained teachers. You can learn how to blow dry your hair like your stylist does, do 'up do's', get more from your digital camera, sort out connectivity problems with your LAN, bleed your radiators, bend pipes, do a manicure, give a massage, shape your eyebrows…and explore space!
The Basic Plumbing Course was such a huge hit that we're running it again - and again! Everyone taking part loved working in our professional workshops and really enjoyed learning some useful home maintenance skills from industry experts. We don't know how long these courses will remain available so we're going to run them every time enough people have signed up - our Advice Centre staff will be happy to help you, please contact 020 8394 3038 or e-mail info@nescot.ac.uk.

If you are of retirement age and want a friendly and enjoyable introduction to using a computer so you can email your family, shop online, research your family tree or even to write that novel, give us a call - we could have a course due to start nearby. Perhaps your day centre or club is interested in getting a group together? Perhaps we may be able to arrange to put on a course especially for you!
We are always interested to hear from any community or voluntary groups who would be interested in working with Nescot to provide learning for adults where it is needed most. Contact 020 8394 8400 or email edbc@nescot.ac.uk for more information about Nescot’s work in Community Learning.
