You will learn how film, television and other media products, for example magazines, are made by looking at them and talking about them in detail. You will be encouraged to explore your own particular interests and communicate your ideas. You will also develop your skills when you use the cameras and lighting when working on the exciting video practical assignments.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or above (preferably including Maths & English), or alternatively a BTEC Level 1 in a related subject at Merit or above.

Progression

Media: Level 2 BTEC Diploma

Career Progression

You may progress to a specialist BTEC Extended Diploma programme in Media Production, Music Technology or Creative Digital Media at Nescot if you gain merit grades on this course. Alternatively you may seek employment as a runner in media production companies, or in retail.
