This course supports students to prepare for work.

Normally the final year in college. Spend the year experiencing work and/or voluntary opportunities. All students take part in individual or group work experience placements offsite. All courses contain lessons in functional skills literacy and numeracy. During this year students will be supported to identify routes for after college by creating an adult action plan.
During interview students will be assisted to identify additional support needs before establishing the right starting point. Candidates will need to show a desire to attend college before being offered a place.

You will then receive an email inviting you in for interview. The interview consists of an initial assessment before having a meeting with a member of the teaching team.Please bring copies of your EHCP to the interview along with a list of previous achievements. We may not be able to photocopy on the day so we would be grateful if you could provide a copy for us to keep.
Confirmation of high needs funding may be required from the Local Authority before enrolment. All offers are subject to Nescot being able to meet the needs set out within the EHCP.
