This course is the ideal starting point for students who wish to study public services as you will be trained in the different disciplines required in these services. You will learn about crime and its effects on society, community and cultural awareness as well as more physical units involving fitness testing and exercise training, plus take part in outdoor expeditions. This course is made up of both practical and assignment-based activities which makes the learning fun and interesting. Educational visits form an important part of this course and guest speakers from the different services visit us throughout the year.

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English
A level 1 diploma, plus English and a good reference from your current tutor for attitude, behaviour, attendance and punctuality.
From this course you can either progress on to the Extended Diploma in Public Services or other Level 3 programmes in the college or into your chosen service providing you meet their entry requirements.
