The Department is one of the longest established in the area with close links in the business community.
You will not only learn the rules and skills of the business world, but will be given the tools to turn from a student into a professional.
You will be taught how to breathe life into a company by people who have worked for some of the most prestigious City firms like Coopers Lybrand, set up and run their own successful businesses or have harnessed the power of new technology for profit. We come from a variety of backgrounds but have one thing in common – we’re committed to turning you into the business professionals of the future.
Working closely with the Computing and IT Departments means you will learn on the most current software which gives a professional polish to all your computer work.
We also regularly have presentations from such blue chip organisations as the Bank of England.
Every one of our students will research, target, apply for, and spend at least a week doing meaningful work experience in any area they find exciting and relevant.
The Department has excellent teaching rooms and IT suites where you will learn to use the latest software and presentation techniques.
