Photo Imaging : Foundation Degree
The full-time Photo Imaging Foundation Degree at Nescot College is a two-year course designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for success in photography, digital imaging and allied employment sectors. You will develop your practical skills and knowledge of the processes of production to a professional level.
To gain this qualification you must be able to manage your own time effectively and be receptive to changing technology as these factors are important in the photography and digital imaging industry. This is a validated award of the University of Surrey.
Programmes in Photography & Digital Imaging have been developed and will be delivered by Nescot. They have been validated through a process of external and peer review, by the University of Surrey Validation Services, as being of an appropriate standard and quality to lead to the University of Surrey validated award of Foundation Degree in Photo Imaging.

You will undertake 16 modules of study, eight modules in the first year and eight modules in the second year. As a part time student this will be six modules in the first year, six modules in the second year and 4 modules in the third year.

Assessment:
Assessment methods include projects, assignments and case studies, coursework, research, presentations.

Requirements
Photo Imaging : Foundation Degree
Entry RequirementsYou will normally need to have at least one of the following and GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent:
• 200 UCAS points or
• MMP in BTEC National Diploma or
• Three A Levels at DDC or
• Edexcel Diploma in Foundation Studies Access course.
• Mature student entry - APL
Overseas students need a minimum IELTs score of 6.5 to show competence in all four assessed areas.
Applications from mature candidates without formal qualifications are welcomed. On application you will be called for an interview where your portfolio will be reviewed.
