Where is Nescot?
Nescot is a single-site campus near Epsom in north-east Surrey. The college is about 14 miles south of central London.
Nescot has a large, free carpark, but visitors are encouraged to travel to the college by walking, cycling or using public transport. We have free secure bicycle storage, and showers for students and staff.
The college is a five-minute walk to Ewell East station and a 20-minute walk to Ewell West station. Both stations have regular fast trains into central London, and also serve stations in Surrey. Nescot is also well-served by bus routes. The campus is situated within close distance to the M25 and A3, two of the South East's major motorways, and is about 15 miles from London Gatwick and about 19 miles from London Heathrow.
About the area
The borough of Epsom and Ewell has a population of more than 75,000 people, according to the 2011 census. It's the smallest district of Surrey in population and size.
The area has regularly been found to be one of the best places to live in the UK, ranked at number 48 in 2014 and as number one in 205. Studies have cited factors including excellent education, low crime rates and a large number of open spaces.
Epsom Downs Racecourse is one of the most famous racecourses in Britain and is the home of ‘The Derby’, one of the best known horseraces in the British sporting calendar. The race attracts more170,000 people each year, including Her Majesty The Queen.
