The Foundation Learning Team hosted another of their popular coffee mornings in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support charity on Friday September 25. The event is part of the charity’s annual national World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, aimed at bringing communities together and raising money for cancer sufferers and their families.
The event ran from 10am to 11.30am with Nescot students and staff enjoying a selection of freshly made cakes, hotdogs, sausage rolls and hot drinks with all proceeds going to the cause. This year the Foundation Learning students raised £149.61.
This year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning is set to be bigger than ever, with a host of celebrities supporting the event. Household names like Lynda Bellingham, Martin Clunes, Patsy Kensit, Deborah Meaden and Paul O’Grady have all weighed in behind the charity with the slogan ‘Every Cup Counts!’
