Nescot FE students’ art work is currently featuring in an exhibition to celebrate the achievements of young people educated in the borough of Epsom and Ewell.
Art Shows at Yoyo’s in Epsom was organised in partnership with the Surrey Youth Development Service and the 24 works by 18 artists on display, each representing a unique approach to the language of drawing, were selected by Nescot lecturer Tom Walker, along with Ian Parker and Brian Benge for UCA Epsom, whose artists are also represented at the exhibition.
Three prizes were awarded by the selectors, with Nescot Year 2 National Diploma student Rachel Thomas receiving a prize for her mono print of a domestic interior. "I have never won anything for my art before,” said a surprised and delighted Rachel.
The exhibition runs until the 26th March at 24 South Street, Epsom, open Fridays 1-4pm and Saturdays 12-4pm
