With the General Election looming on the horizon, Paul Burstow, MP for Sutton & Cheam took time out from his very busy pre-election schedule to pay a visit to Nescot to speak with the Public Services students.
With many of the learners looking forward to university and possible careers in public services, it was an honour to welcome Mr Burstow (pictured, talking to Nescot's Principal, Sunaina Mann) to the college and the MP took the time to share his knowledge of the intricacies of constituency and parliamentary work, and invite questions from the floor.
Several students raised concerns and asked questions on numerous topics ranging from immigration to youth culture. The MP also spoke about Higher and Further Education and his plans for the future of his party and their work in the UK.
Please see our Public Services Courses for more information about studying at Nescot.
