The whole community at Nescot is celebrating the publication of Ofsted’s report on the recent inspection which highlights the outstanding work carried out by the college.
Inspectors found that leadership and management at Nescot are outstanding and they recognised the improvements made at the college under the leadership of its principal, Sunaina Mann.
“The principal has provided inspirational leadership which has changed the culture of the college, ensuring that all staff take responsibility for improving the quality of the experience for students.”
The report praises the governing body for using their wide range of expertise to support the college well in planning provision in response to local and national priorities.
The report highlights that the college is particularly well placed to tackle the challenges of the recession noting that “Outstanding financial management has eliminated a significant deficit and enabled the college to invest in improving its provision.“
Nescot has long been known both for its attractive green campus and for its purposeful and safe environment. Learners told inspectors that they felt safe and the college safeguarding work was judged to be outstanding. The inspectors highlighted that “The college’s exemplary arrangements for safeguarding ensure that students feel very safe”
High levels of care, advice and support for learners is central to Nescot’s drive to ensure the best possible learning environment for its students. Ofsted found the wide range of services offered to applicants and learners to be outstanding; well resourced tutorial provision, enrichment and learning support help students both to achieve their goals and become independent learners.
The inspectors have gone and the work to keep Nescot a leading provider of education for its community continues at pace. Judged outstanding for its capacity to continue improving, the future for Nescot is looking very bright indeed.
