05/03/2010Nescot awarded membership to Technology Exemplar Network
Nescot has been awarded membership of the prestigious Becta Technology Exemplar Network for the way it uses learning technology at the college to help learners to succeed.
The Technology Exemplar Network is a national group of further education colleges and skills training bodies, which promote and share innovative and excellent use of technology.
Only 61 from more than 220 applicants across the country were selected to join the network and Nescot was one of those selected in recognition of its commitment to transforming its teaching, learning and management through the use of digital technology.
As a member of the network Nescot will also contribute effective practice and its positive experiences to other colleges and training groups, locally, regionally and nationally.
Speaking of the colleges’ appointment to the network, Jane Williams, Becta’s Executive Director for Further Education 14-19 said:
"The addition of Nescot to the Technology Exemplar Network is clear evidence that more organisations in the FE and skills sector are recognising the benefits ICT can bring.”
