Nescot has welcomed the first cohort of students to its International HNC Business course. The students, currently all from Bangladesh, have been arriving the in the UK over the last few days and have had to adjust to the coldest weather they have experienced as they settled into their new accommodation.
During their first few days they will be getting to know the college, meeting their tutors and the members of the International team at Nescot who will help them to adjust to studying in England. The course has been set up to provide a route for International students with English as a second language so that as they progress towards achieving their full degree they can continue to develop their language skills. Specialist staff are available to help with accommodation and sessions are held every week to help with all those “how do I?” “where do I?” questions. During the next few days we’ll be helping with setting up banks accounts, registering with doctors and all the other things that are important when you’re living a long way from home.
We are already receiving applications for the next course which will start in September, by which time the current students will be progressing to study for an HND. Nescot has a wide range of HNC and HND programmes which are well respected by employers all over the world and we are delighted to welcome the group and wish them the very best with their studies.
