The REED NCFE Centre is hosting an event next Wednesday (November 20) aiming at helping would-be apprentices to find work.
The recruitment afternoon is being held from 4-6pm, with staff on hand to offer information and support, as well as practical assistance in finding and applying for vacancies.
Anyone who is interested in taking an apprenticeship is welcome to come along, as well as anyone who wants to find out more about what an apprenticeship involves.
There is no need to make an appointment, and if you have a CV ready or in draft the team will check it for you and give you advice.
We have employers looking for people to fill their job vacancies right now, so the team at REED NCFE could match you with an apprenticeship for an immediate start.
There is also an open evening being held at Nescot from 5.30-8pm the same day, so you can find out more about the college and what it could offer you.
If you can't make it on the day but would still like some advice and support, call the REED NCFE team on 020 8394 3051, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Apprenticeships enable people aged 16 and over to learn a trade by combining practical experience gained in the workplace with knowledge and qualifications gained in the classroom.
Nescot offers apprenticeships in a range of subjects, from Animal Studies to IT, Health and Social Care to Business Administration and Construction to Hairdressing, and Animal Studies.
Nescot is the only college in Surrey with a REED NCFE Centre on campus. The centre is open year-round, and helps students find full and part-time jobs, work placements and apprenticeships.
The team can help you from the start to the end of finding a job. If you’re not sure which sector or level of apprenticeship would suit you, the Employment Brokers can talk you through your options.
The staff can show you where to look for vacancies, keep you informed of recruitment events, help you prepare or polish your CV and get you ready for an interview with tips on techniques and how to prepare.
