Carpentry students given prizes to mark term of hard work

Carpentry students were given awards this week to mark their hard work during the autumn term.

Jim Murphy, Head of Construction, handed out Eastwing hammers yesterday (Thursday) as prizes to four Level 1 and two Level 2 students, while the class with the highest attendance were each given a tape measure.

The Level 1 winners were Oliver Keane, Ross Knowles, Jack Walker and Aaron Kemp, and the Level 2 winners were Robert Page and Liam Tugwell. Steve Smith’s Level 1 Group D class won the attendance award.

“It’s been a pleasure to teach this group this term, I’m pleased with what they’ve achieved and how far they’ve come in such a short space of time,” said Steve.

Jim told the winners: “You should all be proud of your hard work so far this year, and I hope these awards inspire you to keep doing the best that you can.”
