This week is Industry Week at Nescot, and staff at the college have planned a range of events to help our students plan their futures.
There will be tailored talks including a presentation for Plumbing students on the skills they’ll need to become an engineer, and for Construction students on Nescot’s new Foundation Degree in Construction Operations Management.
Staff from Chessington World of Adventures will be visiting the college to talk about careers, and representatives from United House will discuss women in construction with female students.
All second-year students on Level 3 courses will also have a talk from staff at the REED NCFE Centre and Epsom Downs Business Centre about their options, including employment, apprenticeships and further study.
Also this week, EasyJet's Cabin Safety Officer will be visiting the Cabin Crew students to talk about the company's recruitment process, and next week the students will be visiting British Airways to learn about safety and emergency procedures.
Level 3 Travel and Tourism students take additional NCFE qualifications in Resort Reps and Cabin Crew or Aviation, and the department also has a special Cabin Crew training room.
