Professional football freestyler Daniel Cutting visited Nescot today to show off his skills and pass on some life tips to students.
More than 100 Sports, Public Services and Plumbing students packed into the staff lounge to hear him talk about his five world records and work with football stars including Brazilian wonder Neymar.
He gave them tips about the practical skills he needs, such as flexibility and core strength, helped the students have a go themselves, and spoke about the skills they need to succeed in their careers.
“Every one of us has things we’re really good at and things we enjoy; you need to identify those skills and passions and find out how you can make those into your career,” Daniel told the students.
“To be the best at something you need hard work, dedication, perseverance and the willingness to do what it takes – success doesn’t just fall in your lap, you have to earn it.”
Daniel then showed off his skills in the Refectory at lunch time, performing tricks such as flips, round-the-worlds and the carousel, for which he holds a Guinness World Record.
