Nescot students raised more than £520 for Macmillan Cancer Support last week by baking and selling cakes for the charity’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event.
Preparation for Life and Work students sold goods in Seasons Café on Thursday lunchtime, as well as holding a competition to guess the name of a teddy bear.
The day, which has already raised more than £250 for the charity, was so successful the team ran out of cakes and had to cancel the event planned for the following day.
Health and Social Care students sold treats ranging from cupcakes to popcorn in the TER during lunchtime Friday, and raised £278 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Deputy Principal Carol Martin said: "The students did a great job in raising so much money through the coffee mornings, and the college is always proud to support such an important cause."
