Computing students have launched a festive project to support The Children’s Trust.
The Level 1 group are hand-making and selling Christmas cards and holding a raffle in aid of the Tadworth-based charity as part of their Business Enterprise unit.
The students will be selling the cards and holding the raffle in the canteen and the main college reception from 10.30am to 3.30pm on November 23.
The group have also asked for donations of chocolates and festive treats to be donated as raffle prizes. These should be brought to the donation box at the college reception by November 18.
“The students have learnt a lot about the work The Children’s Trust does, and that’s spurred them on to work even harder on their fundraising,” said tutor Denise Portman, pictured during last year's sale.
“They’ve worked out what materials they need, costed everything and pitched for investment to help them reach their fundraising target. We’re all hoping to raise as much money as we can.”
The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury, and provides expert nursing care, rehabilitation and education as well as working in research and policy development.
