Volunteering as a children’s sports coach has led to an award nomination in the prestigious ‘What’s on 4 Awards’ for Nescot Sports Therapy student Brendan Daly. Brendan started working with Ready Steady Go Kids, a multi-sports and exercise company for kids aged 2-to-7 years, following a work experience placement in October 2015. It was a group of impressed parents that nominated him in the ‘Most Outstanding Activity Leader for the Under 5s’ category.
Kathy Bees, the director at Ready Steady Go Kids, stated that his hard work, commitment and enjoyment of that placement led to Brendan accepting a part-time coaching position with the company.
“Working with the kids to keep them active is great fun and hopefully they are encouraged to stay active throughout their lives. Being nominated by their parents is a great honour and I am grateful they appreciate what we and do”
EDIT: Voting has now closed, we wish Brendan the best of luck when results are announced on 13 July.
