Gatwick Diamond Business Awards 2024 finalists!

The finalists for the prestigious Gatwick Diamond Business Awards 2024 have been announced and we are thrilled to be shortlisted in two categories. One of our apprentices, Aaron Calliste is a finalist for the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ and Nescot has been shortlisted for the ‘Award for Community Contribution’. We look forward to the award ceremony in March.

Aaron, who is employed at Nescot as our Security Team Leader is currently in the second year of his Level 5 apprenticeship in Operations Management said, “I wasn’t expecting to be in the final, it’s surreal. I’m over the moon and now I want to win! It’s not just a competition, it’s a sense of achievement.”

He added, “I wouldn’t be able to get this far without Nescot. Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging. The apprenticeship has exposed me to new ways of thinking which has enabled me to bring new ideas and ways of working to my current role. It’s good to know that my efforts are recognised.”

We are also delighted to be shortlisted for the Award for Community Contribution. Nescot has been at the heart of the local community for 70 years. We work with partner organisations to develop skills in the wider community, and we continue to develop the strong links we have with organisations and charities including Epsom & Ewell Hub, Phab, and Sunnybank Trust.
