Nescot Principal wins IED Leader of the Year

Nescot's Principal and CEO Julie Kapsalis has been named as Leader of the Year at the prestigious Institute of Economic Development's annual award ceremony.

Julie was presented with the award at a ceremony in Birmingham on Tuesday night (7 November). 

This year, a record number of entries were made, and assessed by an expert IED judging panel. Julie, who is also Chair of Coast to Capital LEP and Catalyst South was named Leader of the Year. She also received a 'Highly Commended' award in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year category.

After the ceremony Julie said, "To receive this award is an incredible honour and one that I share with colleagues at Nescot, Coast to Capital and Catalyst South. As a member and fellow of the IED, to be recognised by my peers is humbling."
