Nescot hosted the inaugural Surrey Colleges football cup last Friday, with two Nescot teams competing against squads from Brooklands and East Surrey colleges. All the sides battled through poor weather to produce entertaining games, ending with Nescot 'East' narrowly claiming the trophy on goal difference. Head of the Nescot football academy, Jack Johnson, said: "This was a fantastic opportunity to use some friendly rivalry to extend our partnerships with local colleges. We're lucky to have the facilities here at Nescot to host the tournament and of course I was delighted that our own teams did us proud again."

Nescot's thriving football academy is part of Johnson Football Schools, and draws students from across the college, as well as the Sports department. You can find out more about the academy and sign up for forthcoming trials on our website here.
