Work experience

Doing work experience benefits students in lots of ways:

It gives students the opportunity to put their new skills and knowledge into practice, giving them real-life examples which in turn helps them with their qualification
It gives them the opportunity to ‘try out’ different careers, to see what suits them
It helps them to improve their CV, by giving them more real-life experience
In some cases it can lead to an offer of a full-time job or apprenticeship.
