What is Counselling?
Counselling offers an opportunity to talk confidentially and in private about any emotional problems causing you concern. The aim is to help you understand your situation more clearly so that you can find a way forward. Counsellors will not advise you or tell you what to do. The College offers 6 sessions that last for 40 minutes each.

When you apply for the Counselling Service you will be added to a waiting list and offered an appointment at the first available opportunity.
If you do not attend the appointment offered to you, we will be remove you from the waiting list and you will need to complete a new referral form.
Please note: that we are unable to see anyone who is already under the care of another mental health professional. Alternatively, Nescot Students are eligible to access a free, safe and anonymous online counselling service via: kooth.com You can chat to counsellors, read articles written by young people, get support from the Kooth community, write a daily journal.
