Course Detail

This course introduces learners to concepts of digital marketing when using online and social media platforms. You will gain an understanding of a range of digital promotion activities, including the importance of setting SMART targets and the role of digital media in promoting a business.

This course will also give you an insight into how to coordinate the use of digital media to meet business needs and objectives, such as planning a coordinated digital campaign for a business in order to differentiate between each digital media and the role it plays in a campaign. This will also give you a clear picture of the importance of data protection in digital media and how it relates to your online presence for your business.

The course will cover the following areas:

  • Introduction to marketing and digital promotion for business
  • Coordinating the use of digital media for business
  • Data protection and digital media for business


Candidates work through the course materials for the programme at times convenient to them, so there is no need to attend the college to gain the qualification. The learning materials contain the knowledge needed to meet the assessment requirements of the course and activities to allow candidates to practice their skills and test their learning. Assessments are based on a combination of knowledge and skills learned on the programme. This course is available online.
