Course Summary

This course is for adult students who want to improve their English speaking and listening skills. The intent is to support students newly arrived to the UK to develop spoken English, to enable them to access the community and work. The course is unaccredited, so there are no formal exams. Students learn at their own pace in a friendly and supportive environment. Students are encouraged to develop their reading and writing skills to prepare them for their next steps.

Those who qualify as a 'home' student will be able to study this course for free.

(If you have permanent residence in the UK or have 'settled' status, you will normally qualify as a 'home' student. If you are unsure about if you qualify, you can contact our student finance team or speak to us when you come to enrol.)

If you are assessed as an overseas student you will be required to pay the course fee in full (£348) on enrolment.
