Acting for Screen - Part Time Evening (March 2024 start)

Course Summary

An intensive practical course in screen acting performance, and techniques for acting in front of the camera. It is aimed at students with some experience of acting and who wish to develop confidence in front of the camera.

You will look at techniques ranging from improvisation to character development, based on a script for TV/film. Learn how to get the best performance and build your confidence on screen. Practise moving for the camera and learn about the differences between theatre and television performances. Scenes will be worked, recorded and analysed, and you will be required to learn scripts.

Students complete the course with professionally-filmed footage to add to their showreels.

  • Explore film and television casting dos and don’ts
  • Gain an insight into creating your own film work
  • Work with industry professionals
