The Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems is designed for learners working in a range of settings within the public, private, voluntary and community sectors. This qualification is suitable for anyone looking to increase their knowledge of children and young people’s mental health. They may currently be working with, or intending to work with, children and young people or anyone who wishes to increase their understanding of these age groups.

Understanding Mental Health First Aid & Advocacy in the Workplace

The Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace Course will explore the different types of mental health and the factors that contribute to mental ill health. You will also explore the signs and indicators of mental health and how you can support individuals with mental health issues and those facing mental health crises. You will find out when it is appropriate to refer an individual to other in relation to mental health issues. You will also learn about the perceptions of and attitudes to mental health and how mental health impacts on those around the individual. You will look at how to promote a mentally healthy environment and consider ways to support your own mental health.

Understanding The Safe Handling Of Medicines

This programme is designed for learners aged 19 or over and already working in a health and social care context, who wish to study the course as part of their own continuous professional development. This qualification is to introduce learners to different types of medicines and the policies and procedures surrounding their storage, disposal and administration. It also provides learners with an overview of legislation and an awareness of quality control, issues regarding responsibility and accountability and the role of the pharmacist.
