This qualification is designed for anyone who is looking to gain knowledge and skills of core IT user skills and software applications to progress their learning in IT, or any subject where IT skills are required. This qualification covers core IT User skills and applications commonly used in many organisations.
Completing this qualification will improve your basic Office skills to a more advanced level, including automation, while improving your understanding of IT software and hardware. It will teach you the basics of programming and also teach you how to work with a networked computer system confidently and effectively.
Prospective students will need to complete an initial assessment to assess eligibility. You will need Level 1 Digital Skills or equivalent.
Successful completion will demonstrate that you have good core IT skills for general employment. You may also wish to progress to a Level 3 course such as Access to Computing.
