Exam Results August 2024

Information for all August exam results for UAL, BTEC and City and Guilds Technicals, and GCSE English and Maths

Results - Thursday 22 August 2024 - Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications - these include GCSE English and Maths, UAL, BTEC and City and Guilds Technical.

From 8.30am - To access your exam results please log in to your nescomms or via this link

From 9.00am - a follow up email to your student college address will be sent with results and grades

Results will be available on the following dates:


Certificates for the above and Level 3 qualifications that are required for entry to university (these include Level 3 Diplomas and Extended Diplomas for UAL, BTEC, AIM Awards, NCFE/Cache and City and Guilds Technical) will be sent out by the Exams department as soon as they are received in the Autumn Term.

For all other qualifications, certificates will be posted out by the Exams department once received.

Review of Marking

Students should contact their tutor prior to requesting exam scripts to be reviewed.

Summer 2024 Access to Scripts

It is recommended that ALL STUDENTS WHO DID NOT ACHIEVE A GRADE 4 request a copy of their GCSE paper/script to identify areas for improvement. Papers can be returned directly to students or used in class to inform teaching and learning.
Access to papers is FREE OF CHARGE but students need to request it via our eshop, see links below.

Paper Review of Marking
Students who have received a Grade 3 may wish to consider having their paper reviewed. Seek the advice of your maths/English teacher before making this request.

The cost of having one of your exam papers reviewed is £42.00 for English and £46.70 for Maths and for BTEC single component is £46.70. Therefore, for both English papers the cost will be £84.00 and for all three GCSE maths papers the cost is £140.10. You may not need to have all papers reviewed. 

Please note: your final grade may be lower, may stay the same or may be higher than the original grade received.

The cost of Priority review of marking for BTEC Level 3 Nationals is £64.70

The deadline for requesting a review of marking is: 26th September 2024. It may take up to 20 days for review of marking to be complete. All priority reviews will be completed in up to 15 days.

Digital copy of your scripts will be available till 13th December 2024.

How can I collect my certificate(s)?

Certificates for the majority of qualifications awarded are due to arrive at the College in September/October. GCSE certificates will arrive in November.

To collect certificates:

  • visit the Exams Office between 9:00-12:30 and 13:30-16:00 Monday to Friday. You MUST bring a form of photo ID with you.
  • email examinations@nescot.ac.uk please include your name, date of birth and specify whether you would like to: collect or have certificates posted.
    If you wish to have your certificate posted please provide your correct postal address and the examinations team will get back to you with information on postal fees.
  • Nominate someone to collect your certificates on your behalf with your written permission (the nominated person must bring their own photo ID)

The College has permission from the Awarding Organisations to destroy certificates after a retention period of 12 months from the date of issue. The cost of reissue of any certificate and/or Statement of Result will be payable by the student.

Student will have to inform the exam team by 1st October if they wish to collect their certificates. If we do not receive any communication, we will post the certificates out on arrival.
