Course Summary

This course is designed for students who wish to work freelance in the creative industries. It provides students with the opportunity to develop their creative enterprise skills by developing start-up projects and professional practice. Students will specialise in corporate filming and videography.

This course is FREE for under-19s (please check with us at interview/enrolment)

An HNC/HND in a creative subject or a Distinction in a creative based Level 3 qualification.

Students will be in College over four days per week, and will be taught 7 - 9 hours per week. The reminder of the time will be spent working with their ‘main’ client: Nescot. Students will be working closely with the marketing department, filming and editing promotional films, events and student interviews, as well as any outside opportunities that present themselves. This qualification supports students to develop a portfolio of work to either support their CVs and/or be able to set up their own business as a freelance consultant.

Students are typically taught in class sizes of 6 and assessment takes place via group work, presentations and business plans.

Course modules will include:

  • Develop and demonstrate the enterprise and entreprenenial skills necessary in the creative industries
  • Develop and define creative ideas
  • Build up a professional practice and initiate creative projects.
