We have been training for the trades for more than 60 years and we are one of the original departments from the old Ewell Technical College. What this means is that we have unparalleled experience of matching our training with the needs of local employers and long term links with trade and industry.

Brand new construction facilities being built for 2015/16. We have large, well-equipped working areas with plasma screens and interactive, stop/start video tutorials. Linked workshops so you learn your subject alongside other construction trades and get to know how you fit together on site. Plastering students work with Electrical to show how to repair a wall after installation.
Site-relevant equipment and testing facilities so we can get you site-ready. Electrical students learn on steel wired armoured cabling and industry standard RCDs and circuit breakers, for example, and we teach you the latest conduit trunking and cable tray installation methods. Industry-standard, Rothenburger, Hilmor, Crown and Estwing hand and power tools all supplied by the college, plus monthly competitions to win top-of-the-range kit relevant to your trade sponsored by employers like Tucker French, Rothenberger and British Gypsum.
Staff have years of experience in the trades with many having started out as apprentices before progressing to the highest levels. At Nescot you will be taught by the people who work on sites like Buckingham Palace, The NatWest Tower, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, The Royal Opera House, The Houses of Parliament, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and London Underground.
We believe in working hard and playing hard and are a sociable, supportive team. We reward your hard work and you will have the chance to enter national skills competitions, take part in big charity fundraisers and enjoy social events like sea fishing trips to Brighton, paintballing and 5-a-side football. There are also trips to Whitehall, British Gypsum, industry exhibitions, factory tours and speakers, demonstrations and workshop visits from Stabila, Ibstock Brick, Rems, DeWalt, Turner Access, Durapipe, Grundfos Pumps, Worcester, Bosch and many other industry big names.
All courses lead to industry-recognised qualifications and many contain extra, separate certificates, like DriveSafe and Level 1 City and Guilds that will improve your employability. We are also proud of the number of students who progress to the highest levels after studying with us.
