If you're a practicing electrician, you must comply with the regulations for electrical work, this qualification is designed to provide those seeking progression in their career with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the Electrotechnical industry.


This course covers the updates of the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, which came into force in July 2018.

Candidates should have successfully completed a 17th Edition course after the 3rd amendment was published in January 2015 (C&G 2382-15) and have maintained a good understanding of the Wiring Regulations since then.

This course is designed for candidates who have successfully completed a 17th Edition course after the 3rd amendment was published in January 2015 (C&G 2382-15) and have maintained a good understanding of the Wiring Regulations since then.

This 1-day course covers only the differences between the 17th and 18th Editions, however, students still need to sit the full 60-question online exam with questions covering the entire Wiring Regulations book.


By booking a place on this 1-day course students confirm that they meet the entry requirement of having the 2382-15 qualification and also have up to date and sound knowledge of the Wiring Regulations.


What does the qualification cover?
The IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. They set requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards and are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS 7671). It is intended to ensure that individuals are conversant with the format, content and application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations. The course will give candidates an overview of the key changes in the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Candidates have to successfully complete the multiple choice online exam (60 questions, duration 2 hours). Pass mark 60%, online exam resit fee (if required) = £60
