We work closely with employers to design our curriculum, and we plan assignments around what you’ll be doing in industry. We’ve invested £50 million into our campus to give you some of the best facilities there are. Many courses include an opportunity to go on trips in the UK and abroad, learn from visiting speakers, do work experience, and take part in national and international competitions. These experiences give you skills like teamwork, communication, time management and self-confidence.
We will expect you to work hard and push yourself, and we’ll be there to help you every step of the way. Whatever your goals are, we’re confident that we have a qualification that suits you, tools to help you get the experience you need and the support to help you excel.
We have had a great reputation over the 70 years of our existence and were rated ‘Good’ in every area by Ofsted at our latest inspection (Jan 2023). The report notes that "students are motivated to succeed". Our success rates are consistently above sector averages and feedback from students in highly positive.
You'll be taught by staff with specialist industry knowledge and experience. Courses and qualifications are designed for career success, and our workshops, studios, salons and labs are equipped to contemporary professional standards.
As well as the specialist facilities and equipment you need for your course, we have a range of facilities for private study and social time. Other facilities around the college include our library & learning resources centre; Starbucks coffee lounge; large refectory and vending machines; indoor and outdoor sports facilities; hair salon; gym; additional free distance learning courses; a day nursery; and theatre.
Our student support team arrange enrichment activities, sports groups, student representation and wellbeing activities. Many of our courses have study-related trips in the UK and abroad, including recent residentials in Devon, Malta and Madagascar . In the last year, groups of our students have worked on projects with the world-famous Epsom Derby, major charities and private clients.
Within a 5 minute walk of mainline Ewell East station, with regular trains to London, Sutton, Croydon and Epsom. Ewell West station is around a 15 minute walk. We have a large free car park and secure bike storage.
Many courses involve the opportunity to take part in national skills competitions. In 2022 Nescot students qualified for Worldskills UK finals in Film, Beauty and Electrical competitions. In 2023 media students won the national Gold at the WorldskillsUK Digital Media Production competition. In 2024 we have hosted regional skills competitions in our fantastic facilities, for example in Carpentry and Hairdressing.

We work closely with employers and industry bodies so that you can be sure our teaching reflects the skills you will need for today's economy. We’re also ideally connected to get you work experience, and our students complete placements with hundreds of different employers in a range of sectors each year. As part of the Sussex and Surrey Institute of Technology, we have particularly strong links to employers and universities in STEM sectors.
We offer university-level education at Nescot in many of our subject areas. Or, like over 200 of our Level 3 students each year, you could choose to progress to university. Many of our full-time students also progress to paid employment through apprenticeships.
You’ll be in a college not a school, we’ll treat you accordingly. You are encouraged to take responsibility for your own learning, while we also ensure you have the support to succeed on your qualification.
