Beauty students volunteered their time to give free manicures to support Epsom Mental Health Week.

Five students on the Level 2 course will be attending St Barnabas Church in Epsom this week (October 8 to 13) and will give treatments to anyone who comes to the sessions.

“As a department, we are very proud to support such as meaningful cause,” said Andry Waters, Curriculum and Standards Coordinator for Hair and Beauty at Nescot.

“Giving students the opportunity to give back to the community using their professional skills will be very rewarding, and a great experience for them.”

Epsom Mental Health Week is now in its 11th year, and offers a huge array of free activities for anyone to attend.

This year’s theme is ‘new beginnings’, and sessions range from talks on coping with work-related stress to social media, parenting teenagers, and discussions on mental health crises and suicide.
