Foundation Learning students have ‘taken over’ the Skills Park today (Wednesday) with a pop-up Christmas shop open from 10.30am until midday.

Students are selling their hand-made chutneys, Christmas cards and gift tags, as well as plants they have potted, and Christmas wreaths.

They are also hosting a pop-up café in the restaurant in the Skills Park and offering tea, coffee, hot chocolate and baked goods including Victoria sponge and Christmas cake.

“The students have made some lovely products, and we’ve had a lot of support from around the college so items have been selling out quickly,” said Lisa Moynihan, Head of Foundation Learning.

Students on programmes including Supported Internships and the Entry Level 2 Further Education Pathway have been involved in making items for the Christmas shop.

The department is also collecting items from reception today for their appeal for Epsom and Ewell Foodbank.
