Beauty students at Nescot raised £778 for charity in December by donating all their takings.

The Level 2 and Level 3 students offered treatments ranging from massage to facials in exchange for donations to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

They also sold homemade cakes and biscuits, and held a raffle for vouchers for hair and beauty treatments at the college.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have raised so much money for such a wonderful charity,” said Andry Waters, Curriculum and Standards Coordinator for Beauty.

“The students have been working really hard, and as always our clients and the students and staff at Nescot have been really supportive and very generous.”

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre with bases in Sutton and Chelsea.

The charity funds research into care treatment and care, as well as funding state-of-the-art equipment and modern patient environments.

Nescot offers full-time Beauty qualifications at Levels 2 and 3, Hair and Media Makeup at Levels 2 and 3, and Hairdressing at Levels 1, 2 and 3.

The college also offers a full range of part-time Hair and Beauty qualifications for adults, as well as apprenticeships.
