Nescot hosted a major event at the college over Easter, aimed at helping people to find jobs.

The Epsom and Ewell Employment and Skills Fair, held in-person for the first time since 2019, had more than 40 exhibitors, three workshops and the highest footfall of job seekers ever.

It was also attended by MP Chris Grayling, borough mayor Cllr Peter O’Donovan and Kathryn Beldon, CEO of Epsom and Ewell Borough Council.

The event, held on Thursday last week (April 14), was aimed at helping to connect people to employers, as well as promoting different training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Staff from Nescot’s Careers, Business Centre, Apprenticeships and Foundation Learning teams attended, while staff from the college’s HR team were promoting Nescot as an employer and discussing current vacancies.

There were workshops in CV writing, interview techniques and LinkedIn profiles, and exhibitors included three councils, two NHS trusts and Surrey Police, as well as a range of charities and small businesses.
