National Building & Construction Awards 2025 - Apprentice of the Year Gold winner

Congratulations Charlie! Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Apprentice at K&T Electromech Services Ltd, has been awarded Gold in the Apprentice of the Year category at the recent National Building & Construction Awards (NBCA) 2025 (10.10.25).

The NBCA Apprentice of the Year Award recognises apprentices who have gone above and beyond in making the most of their training and development opportunities.

Charlie who is currently in the final year of his apprenticeship course at Nescot, spoke to us about his achievement, “I was honoured to be nominated by my employer for the Apprentice of the Year Award, and incredibly proud to win Gold. It means a lot to get this industry recognition, and represents the hard work, dedication and learning I put into my apprenticeship at K&T Electromech Services Ltd. I’m thankful to everyone at K&T for the support, guidance, opportunities and experiences.”

Speaking about the Plumbing and Domestic Heating apprenticeship course at Nescot, Charlie added, “I’ve always wanted to be in the construction industry, and doing an apprenticeship is great as you’re able to learn and earn. I enjoy the mix of theory and practical learning in college and being apply to apply it in the work place. The teaching is brilliant, my tutors have been superb! After I complete the course, I hope to grow my skills and master the trade. I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and contributing to the plumbing and heating trade.”
