How to apply to study at Nescot.
Nescot has appointed a new financial director as part of a restructure of the college’s executive leadership team.
George Jenkins, currently Director of Resources at Prostate Cancer UK, will join Nescot as Chief Financial Officer in February after half-term.
His remit will include internal and external audit, the college estate and capital programme, procurement, health and safety, and sustainability.
“I’m delighted to welcome George to the team, and we’re all looking forward to working with him,” said Frances Rutter, CEO and Principal at Nescot.
“George will be able to use his substantial experience as a financial director to build on our college’s strengths as we continue with our ambitious plans.”
His previous experience includes roles at Blind Veterans UK and the youth charity Duke of Edinburgh, as well as working at Whirlpool Europe and being the Vice President for Finance at WH Smith USA.
George said: “Nescot is already a strong college, and I’m excited to be part of the journey as we continue working towards our organisational goals.
“I’m looking forward to meeting and working with colleagues across the college in the new year.”
George’s appointment is part of a restructure of Nescot’s top team, which also includes Julie Kapsalis joining the college as Commercial Director.
Her remit will include commercial services, sales, the generation of new curriculum and the growth of apprenticeships, and continuing to increase student numbers.
