College CEO recognised in New Years Honours List
We are proud to share that our CEO and Principal, Julie Kapsalis has been awarded an MBE in the King's 2026 New Year's Honours List. The award recognises her work as Chair of Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) from 2020-2025.
During this time, Julie led and championed major investments in skills, infrastructure and business support. Julie is passionate about developing dynamic partnerships between the public, private and third sectors and continues to use her network to provide unique opportunities for students and staff at the college to engage with businesses, charities and the community. Congratulations to Julie.
Julie served as a Director of Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership for 12 years and as Chair for 5 years. Under her tenure, she spearheaded transformational investments including - Gatwick Airport Railway Station, the School of Nursing & Allied Health at the University of Chichester and the Crawley Innovation Centre.
Julie continues to be passionate about economic development, social inclusion and skills in her current role as CEO & Principal at Nescot and as an advisor and committee member to many organisations including: Epsom Downs Racecourse, Gatwick Diamond Business, The Aurora Academies Trust, The AoC Charitable Trust, AI in Education and Gatwick Airport Economic Zone.
