This one-year, part-time Massage Diploma will prepare you to qualify as a professional massage therapist and help you to gain employment within the industry or set up your own business. It is also the basic qualification to progress onto other massage qualifications such as Sports therapy, aromatherapy, stone therapy massage.
ITEC requires that students are a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of sitting the examination. You will normally hold a minimum of five GCSEs, one of which should preferably be in English and one in Science. Mature students are selected on their suitability to take the course, but should be at least Level 2 English. Applicants without any formal qualifications will take an English Level 2 initial assessment at interview when you enrol.
Practice as a massage therapist or a wide range of courses in the area of holistic therapies, health and fitness, for example, reflexology or sports massage.
Fee for Academic Year 2024/25
£2,486 (includes ITEC exam registration fee)
The course will be FREE for most applicants if you live inside the Greater London Authority (GLA) area.
Most students who do not qualify for free tuition can access the Advanced Learner Loan.
Please note: Fees are for 2024/25 entry and apply to students eligible for home fee status. The fees quoted are subject to personal circumstances and will be confirmed at the time of your enrolment, depending on eligibility criteria. Course content includes:
Students are recommended to take out student insurance which covers students for practical practice outside college for case studies. Tutor will advise at the beginning of the course.
In addition, students will need to provide a uniform (tunic and trousers, plus closed in flat shoes) and their own towels for practical sessions (tutor will advise at the beginning of the course) as well as course text books.
