Special Educational Needs and Disability: Level 2 (Distance Learning)

This course is aimed at anyone who wishes to develop knowledge and understanding of understanding of Special Education Needs and Disability.

It is also designed for learners wishing to progress to a wide range of further learning within SEND or health and social care.

This qualification provides a sound preparation for further study and access to a range of vocational qualifications including Level 2 Autism, Level 2 Learning Disabilities and The Learning Support Assistant, Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning.

The content of this qualification include:

• Unit 1: Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
• Unit 2: Understand equality and diversity in the context of SEND
• Unit 3: Principles of promoting person centred approach for individuals with SEND
• Unit 5: Living with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Learners work through the course materials for the programme through distance learning, therefore, there is no need to attend the college to gain the qualification.

Should you become a student of the College, this notice shall be a term of any contract between you and Nescot.
