The Learning Resources Centre

The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) provides an excellent study environment for students. It is bright, open, comfortable and welcoming. There are separate areas for group, individual and silent study.

The LRC offers a comprehensive collection of print and e-books, online journal collections, databases and other resources including video streaming. Links to course-specific learning resources and reading lists can be found on the LRC Online Portal and Catalogue. Nescot students and staff can access online resources 24/7 on and off campus.

    • Access to around 17,000 books and 1,600 e-books
    • A collection of print and digital magazines covering all taught subjects
    • A wide range of journal titles with access via database subscriptions
    • 220 study spaces
    • A separate classroom, individual quiet pods and HE and adult study room
    • 70 PCs and over 200 Chromebooks and laptops equipped with Windows 11
    • Printing, photocopying and scanning facilities
    • Academic support including literature searching and referencing
    • HE support mentor
    • Study skills and digital skills workshops
    • Assistance with enquiries
    • Computer account unlocking and resetting of passwords
    • Support using computers, printers and photocopiers
