This course is designed for students who wish to work freelance in the creative industries. It provides students with the opportunity to develop their creative enterprise skills by developing start-up projects and professional practice.

The course has around 7 - 9 hours contact time which would change regularly depending on projects.

Students would be expected to be in 4 days a week working as a production team - times and days will vary.

Course Detail

Students will be in College over four days per week, and will be taught 7 - 9 hours per week. The reminder of the time will be spent working with their ‘main’ client: Nescot. Students will be working closely with the marketing department, filming and editing promotional films, events and student interviews, as well as any outside opportunities that present themselves. This qualification supports students to develop a portfolio of work to either support their CVs and/or be able to set up their own business as a freelance consultant.

Course modules will include:

  • Develop and demonstrate the enterprise and entreprenenial skills necessary in the creative industries
  • Develop and define creative ideas
  • Build up a professional practice and initiate creative projects.
